Just A Game Part II-- Paradoxical Limbo The soft, damp grass was ripped by my sudden grasp. It was a terrible pain reliever to my throbbing head. Great, Faith dragged me somewhere. That's nice of her. She could have dropped me off at the hospital for all I know! I slowly rose to my feet, quite with ease. Pain seemed to dissipate, which was extremely odd seeing I skinned myself on the stairs. My jeans weren't ripped as they should be. That was a short suffering. Hell while it lasted though.
I regret waking up. The sudden shock of bright daylight burned my watery eyes. The area wasn't my woods. Grass was too green and flowers of different species littered it. I squished a few when I was laying down. Birch trees with their peeling bark too, were unfamiliar. The terrain was mountainous, with arches, structures that seemed to defy gravity, valleys, a large river at the base of my mountain, but what caught my eye, were the floating, cubical bits of stone. Life is but a DreamWe are just unnourished frail bodies,
overfed with white lies and short-lived-euphorias.
Books filled with black letters,
etching lurid images into our utmost dreams.
Veering us from the big picture...
the one we fail to paint ourselves.
Our fists much too busy with fights,
that we are bound to lose.
Too occupied in line waiting,
for creativity to be let loose like a stray dog.
As if we will find home in this pursuit of happiness...
but we only enclose each other in small rooms
with nothing but old laptops.
How many times I've guessed which letter could it be...
Which letter could it be?
To free us from havoc-stricken-thoughts?
They come and go, unending like 24 hour subway stations.
There's no break for this lonely man,
heaving every breathe of stale air
into my overused lungs...
Living in confined walls of flesh
held up with brittle paper-mache bones.
Which day is it that I will burst out from this cage of a life?
